trying to install 5.1.9

It's been a long time since I installed Firefox. A lot has changed.
When I found out Chatzilla was killed off... while running Latest Firefox, I went to Firefox 53.0.
Once I installed noscript, I got this message at https://noscript.net/?ver=5.1.8.4

Looks like you are running an older version (5.1.8.4), probably because latest version is not published on addons.mozilla.org yet.
You are strongly encouraged to
install latest stable version (5.1.9)

I tried, by downloading the .xpi and drag and dropping it on Firefox.
It keeps saying it isn't signed, and won't install.
Any workarounds?

You have several options -

1) Switch to Firefox 52 ESR, and set about:config > xpinstall.signatures.required to false

2) Switch to SeaMonkey or Waterfox, which don't require addon signing.

3) If you are really locked into version 53 specifically, you could build Firefox 53 from source yourself with unofficial branding and the appropriate mozconfig options to disable forced extension signing.

4) try to apply some hack to your existing Firefox 53 that makes it allow unsigned extensions (I don't recommend this option)

[Bug][NFSW] No videoplayback until addon is deactivated

Summary:
Any videos on camwhore.tv won't play until the addon is completely deactivated in Firefox, it keeps saying "html5: Video file not found"

Notes:
I've tried the following options in NoScript:
- Disable restrictions for this tab
- Set all to temporarily trusted for this site
All domains or IPs either show as trusted or temporarily trusted after reload. Still won't work. Only site I've issues with.

Environment:
Windows 10
Firefox 62.0.3
NoScript 10.1.9.8

Steps:
1. Visit
camwhores.tv/

2. Play any video (cant post direct link because your software blocks me)
3. See error message html5: Video file not found
4. Press STRG+SHIFT+A and click on disable for NoScript
5. Reload tab, video plays

SeaMonkey, NoScript 5

"MissAlice" (happened to be the 1st one listed)

Allowed camwhores
Allowed h-cdn.com (that might be a Flash based player, not sure?)
Then arbitrarily allowed a number of "numeric" domain names

That was enough to get the clip to play

Then revoked h-cdn.com, & the clip still played

And at that point, things are kind of odd, because those numeric domains no longer show that they can be revoked (individually - they are not listed, individually).
The only place they (now) show is "under" Revoke Temporary Permissions.

+camwhores.tv

Looking again, video is slow to load, & all that I'm needing is the two sites above.


Can't check NS 10 at present.

Well, it certainly works without disabling NoScript.

Looks like it only needs:

+www.camwhores.tv
+hmnjkvideos.wpnrtnmrewunrtok.xyz

How to tell you how to come up with hmnjkvideos.wpnrtnmrewunrtok.xyz in a straight forward manner, not sure, but with those two, it works.

Site, or I guess it is actually this .xyz site, is rather slow, so that makes the clips slow to load &/or play.


With NoScript 5, I can get a placeholder, which is convenient for me.
In NoScript 10, I'll assume similar can be done ? but I'm not familiar enough with it (& FF 62 & don't really care to mess with it).

I don't think so. You describe an issue with the outlook site. chileno seems to be describing a problem with the NoScript toolbar icon.

I'm not seeing that with either NoScript 10.1.9.8 nor NoScript Classic. Clicking the link you posted doesn't generate a XSS warning for me.

What version of NoScript are you using?

Max number of login attempts loop

When I put the login credentials into the username and password fields... I get this back.
You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below.

When I fill it in again, with a correct captcha, it goes back to the first login prompt with no captcha.
I went back a day later... and same thing.
my username is in fact johnrw
I was able to reset my password... but I can do little else here.

Now if only i could find ESR 52.9.0
But Thank You for the list of options.
When I found out they killed chatzilla, all I had to do was look in my downloads folder and the installer for 53 was there.

I may have "fixed" the original issue, the "Inconsistent (dropdown) Update of Temporarily Allow All This Page".

But other issues are persisting...

Pages not working correctly
Export not working


Aha, getting somewhere, now Export is working...

(In the interim, disabled uBlock, disabled, Firfox Color (some sort of "theme" contraption), re-enabled uBlock.)

There is a general issue with Export (& Import too).

Oh, something like...

New Profile

The first time I opened (NoScript) Options... what, the General tab, was gray, as in the Default | Trusted | Untrusted did not display, I think was the deal.

And with that, neither Import nor Export were effective.
It was not until the Options page was clicked, that Default | Trusted | Untrusted turned up, & with that Import & Export worked.

I think that was the deal.

i've added screenshots at the other topic, because at one moment noscript doesn't detect the need of script from "ow1.res.office365.com"
so the noscript toolbar icon doesn't change too.

no audio track in videos - Waterfox

Hi,

I use flashgot with Waterfox 56.2.3

Since few weeks (last version of Waterfox?) , when I download a video, it has no audio track! non sound.

Have you any idea?
